Atletico Madrid held their open media day on Wednesday ahead of their Europa League final tie against Marseille

Despite the high-profile fixture next week, much of the discussion in the player press conferences centred on the future of forward Antoine Griezmann who has been linked with a move away to Barcelona.

Filipe Luis hailed the Frenchman as the ''the most decisive player of the season'' but also added that the squad were ''not just Griezmann, we are many players.''

When asked about Griezmann, fellow forward Diego Costa flashed a smile and joked that the focus should be on him instead.

"Well, I'm staying! I'm very well, I'm happy, I'm also very important for the team.''

Captain Gabi focused more on the need to lift the trophy in order to compete with the top tier of European football giants.

''We need to win again, we need to stay in the elite, we need players to want to come here and important players to want to stay here."

For the soon to be departing Fernando Torres, the chance to lift a European trophy with his boyhood club represents a golden opportunity.

''For me personally this is a chance to win a title with my club, at home, what I dreamt of as a child. Now I'm given the opportunity to achieve it and for me it would be just the perfect ending," said the 34-year-old striker.
